A moment ago I was thinking that I should probably write a post to give a sign of life as it’s been almost half a year since the last one. Then I realised that one of the activities that take up most of my time at the moment is very well suited for an update here: I’ve been working as a guide at the Computerspielemuseum in Berlin since the beginning of the year.
The museum is a fascinating place for everyone interested in old computer and video games, and I’m sure everyone can learn something new there, no matter how versed you are in the history of gaming.
The tours span about half of the exhibition (with a focus on history or culture, if desired) and explore a large part of the history of games. Normal tours are fairly expensive and mostly meant for groups of people, but there are public tours in English and German on the weekends.
If you are interested in getting a tour from me, please contact me!
I have also taken the opportunity to create a calendar with all Vintrospektiv-related events. This will include all public tours I give at the museum, as long as I remember to add them. You can subscribe to that calendar in iCal format, and it is now also shown in the sidebar.
