At the Vintage Computing Festival Berlin on 8-9 October this year, I will give a workshop on composing on the C64 with Chris Hülsbeck’s Soundmonitor.
Details to follow, but I can tell you already that I will provide a USB drive with emulators for Windows and Linux and the Soundmonitor file for everyone to follow the workshop on their laptops. We will create some sounds and a full (though probably short) song, which will also be available for download at the end of the session.
It’s limited to 15 people, so if you’re interested, be sure to register as soon as you can (registration will probably open by the end of September).
Edit 1, 22 September: Information I forgot – 1. It’s going to be free of charge. 2. I’m planning to hold the workshop in German, but if there are English-speaking people participating we’ll surely find a way to accommodate everybody.
Edit 2, 5 October: Apparently it will be on Sunday at 14:00 to 17:00.
Edit 3, 9 October: Unfortunately, I awoke with a bad cold today, so I have to cancel the event. I might reschedule it as a private meeting, if there is enough interest, but probably not this year.
